Victim’s Vehicle Struck By Thief’s Getaway Car, JCSO Says

BENSON – The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office has arrested one of two suspects wanted for a brazen theft.

Robert Manley Narron, age 35, of Bay Valley Road, Kenly was charged January 13 with felony breaking and entering, larceny, conspiracy, and injury to property.

On January 2 around 7:42pm, Narron and a second suspect are accused of going to an address on Elevation Road north of Benson and stealing scrap metal, conduit, and electrical breakers from a building. The items had a combined value of $4,000.

The victim reportedly spotted the suspect’s vehicle on the property. When he went to confront them in his pickup, the suspects fled. While fleeing, the getaway car collided with the victim’s truck causing approximately $7,000 in damage. The two suspects managed to get away but were later identified by sheriff’s investigators.

Narron was held without bond at the Johnston County Detention Center.

The name of the second suspect has not been released pending their arrest.

No injuries were reported.

  1. I thought he was finally locked up for a while since he has quite the past but noticed he was on a local FB Page among others. Family is always in denial with him, so maybe they have pull. Even the top dogs around here can get bought off yet so many keep electing them. Doesn’t hurt that he a joco last name either. No wall to keep him out – and no wall to keep him in…irony.

    • I do not know if it is still in practice – but prison terms were once cut in half (or close to it) – provided you had good behavior while there. This guy was at one time always in the news for his lifestyle – I was horrified to see him back posting online a while back.
While I believe most people deserve a chance to become productive citizens again – at some point they keep getting in trouble – yet we are told to fear other types of people. Nope – the locals are way more dangerous since they seem to get a pass much of the time. SBiz made his feelings clear over a decade ago.

  2. This guy needs to be locked away, like for a good long time. His “friends” and family ought to be ASHAMED of themselves too. A lot of good people in that group I’m sure, whose names have been and continue to be tarnished by a person who has repeatedly proven to not give a dang. In some respects they’re just as guilty for continuing to support him. What a joke. Let him rot. If he’s getting out early and all he’s clearly better suited for, and better behaved, in a prison setting. Robert is a menace to society. Period.

  3. Word is he has something to do with all the atvs being stolen in the area. Now I believe it.

    • Dope fiends gonna dope fiend. Dudes a full time criminal with part time sense at best. I repeat, what a joke, that this guy isn’t locked up tight somewhere. 3 cheers for the justice system on this one.

  4. He will get out and continue on with his crimmal adventures. Lock him up and keep him safe cause big boy will run out of luck soon
Dope head he will always be. I bet his family are so proud of him

  5. Holy Moses on a rocket powered pogo stick. Anybody see that he has been arrested again? Operating a stolen vehicle. Hahaha. What a piece of work. Got bailed out just to get locked up again. Folks or whoever keeps getting him out ought to be locked up right next to him. Real life can’t get right. Literally scum of the earth. Criminal, and real bad at it too.
