Suspect Arrested In Walmart Parking Lot

JOHNSTON COUNTY – Authorities have arrested a man they said had stolen financial cards in his possession. Seth Boyd Garrett of Garner was arrested in the Walmart parking lot, at 5141 Veterans Parkway, Garner.

On July 27, a customer reported their handbag had been stolen from a shopping cart while they were inside Walmart.

Officers responded to the scene and encountered Garrett outside the business.

Garrett reportedly had the victim’s stolen ID card and three stolen financial cards in his possession.

The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office charged the 35 year-old man with three felony counts of financial card theft and one misdemeanor count of possession of stolen property. He was held under a $5,000 secured bond.
